National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is celebrated internationally every November. In 2020 I joined the fray and challenged myself to write a 50k word novel featuring a possible future of my own research. <i>In a world where genetic standardization defines everything about workers’ lives, an elderly and brash bicycle messenger finds out that her granddaughter’s genome is subpar; she must learn a few new tricks herself to help the girl towards a new career before they are both removed from the gene pool.</i>
